التعريف

فى المسطحات المائية التى تشهد ظاهرة التراص الحراري، تتكون تيارات رأسية باردة نتيجة للتغير الذي يحدث فى كثافة المياه السطحية عند إنخفاض حرارتها لتعرضها لبرودة الجو.

التعريف

حركة دائرية في مائع مثل الهواء أو الماء أو الصخور المنصهرة. وتحدث هذه العملية عندما يسخن المائع بدرجات غير متساوية مما يجعل جزء منه يرتفع إلى أعلى حيث يبرد وعندئذ يهبط إلى أسفل منتجا بذلك حركة دائرية. وتحدث تيارات الحمل في الجو والمحيطات وغلاف اللب الأرضي.

Definition

A circular current in a fluid like air, water, or molten rock. The process occurs when the fluid is unevenly heated so that part of the fluid rises, cools, and then sinks producing the circular movement. Convection occurs in atmospheres, oceans, and planetary mantles.
