تراص حراري

التعريف

منطقة تقع تحت الطبقة السطحية للماء المقسم إلى طبقات حرارية (مثل البحر، البحيرة، الخزان المائي) يحدث فيها ازدياد فجائي في التدرُّج الحراري (أي تنقص درجة الحرارة بسرعة مع زيادة العمق). ويعتبر الانحدار الحراري في العادة حاجزاً بيئياً، ويؤدي تذبذبه إلى تأثيرات جوهرية على توزيع وإنتاجية المخزونات السمكية.

Definition

Region below the surface layer of a thermally stratified body of water (e.g. sea, lake, reservoir) where the temperature gradient increases abruptly (i.e. where temperature decreases rapidly with increasing depth). A thermocline is usually an ecological barrier and its oscillations have significant consequences on stocks distribution and productivity.

Región bajo la capa superficial de un cuerpo de agua térmicamente estratificado (ej. mar, lago, embalse) donde el gradiente de temperatura se incrementa abruptamente (ej., donde la temperatura disminuye rápidamente con la profundidad). Una termoclina es generalmente una barrera ecológica y su oscilación tiene consecuencias significativas en la distribución de los stocks y la productividad.

Zone d'un plan d'eau thermiquement stratifié (e.g. mer, lac, retenue d'eau) située sous la couche de surface, où le gradient de température augmente abruptement (i.e. où la température diminue rapidement avec l'augmentation de la profondeur). Une thermocline constitue généralemente une barrière écologique et ses oscillations influencent considérablementont la distribution et la productivité des stocks.
